From May 2018 the company was implementing a new strategy where most of the operation companies are being sold. Blokker Holding was the largest non-food retailer in The Netherlands and owned 12 store chains including Blokker, Leen Bakker, Xenos, Intertoys, Bart Smit, Big Bazaar & Marskramer. These chains operated in 11 European countries through privately owned and franchised stores. The Blokker Holding had a total of 26.000 employees.
Challenge
Because of the intention of Blokker Holding to sell several brands, an unbundling strategy was needed to be able to sell the Blokker labels like Blokker BV, Intertoys, Leen Bakker, Xenos and Cook&Co.
Solution
Designing the new data environment of Nextail/Blokker and organizing a tool selection of a the new MDM/PIM environment.
Result
Several brands were sold and data was transferred to these labels.
